Dave Knipfer is Elected President of IMTA

David Knipfer (President of Mapping Specialists Ltd.) has been Elected President of the International Map Trade Association (IMTA) – Americas. As President, Dave will represent the Americas by serving on the International board for the next two years. In the Americas, Dave will be responsible for growing the organization, planning IMTA conferences, coordinating with the other board members, and providing direction for the present and future of this fast changing industry.
Established over 27 years ago, IMTA promotes the interests of all companies involved in the mapping industry, from retailers of atlases and manufacturers of globes, to developers of geographic information systems. It welcomes members from every corner of the world, from Ireland to India, from Nigeria to New Zealand and from Russia to the Dominican Republic. The association is made of up of three regions: IMTA (EAME), IMTA (Americas), and IMTA (Asia Pacific). In addition to IMTA’s global program, each region organizes its own local activities. This ensures that, wherever you are based, IMTA is both relevant and accessible to you.
