ArcView Software

ArcView 9

ArcGIS ArcView 9

ArcView is the world's most popular desktop GIS and mapping software, with more than 500,000 copies in use worldwide. ArcView provides geographic data visualization, query, analysis, and integration capabilities along with the ability to create and edit geographic data.

ArcView is designed with an easy-to-use user interface and includes VBA for customization. ArcView consists of three desktop applications: ArcMap and ArcCatalog. ArcMap provides data display, query, and analysis. ArcCatalog provides geographic and tabular data management, creation, and organization.

ArcView is an exceptional stand-alone GIS as well as the entry point to ArcGIS, an integrated and scalable family of GIS software products. Together the ArcGIS family of products represents the most comprehensive, configurable, and flexible suite of GIS software available on the market today.

ArcView Extensions

ArcGIS 3D Analyst

ArcGIS 3D Analyst provides powerful and advanced visualization, analysis, and surface generation tools. The user can view large datasets from multiple viewpoints, query a surface, and create realistic perspective images. Users can also drape raster and vector data over a surface, and extrude two-dimensional features to three dimensions using attribute data.

ArcGIS Data Interoperability

The ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension eliminates barriers to data sharing by providing direct data access, data transformation, advanced format creation, and geoprocessing model integration. Jointly developed by ESRI and ESRI Strategic Alliance Partner Safe Software, this extension is built on Safe Software’s industry standard Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) technology.

With ArcGIS Data Interoperability, any standard GIS data, regardless of the format, can be used within the ArcGIS Desktop environment. The ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension is fully integrated with the geoprocessing framework in ArcGIS and can provide data read, transformation, and translation capabilities in ModelBuilder models.

ArcGIS Network Analyst

ArcGIS Network Analyst is a powerful extension that provides network-based spatial analysis including routing, travel directions, closest facility, and service area analysis. Using the sophisticated network data model in ArcGIS Network Analyst, users can easily build networks from their geographic information system (GIS) data and dynamically model realistic network conditions.

ArcGIS Publisher

ArcGIS Publisher is an ArcGIS extension that converts map documents (MXD) to published map files (PMF). PMFs contain instructions about the location and symbology of data layers including geodatabase connectivity and Internet connections. ArcGIS Publisher also provides the capability to package spatial data with the PMF for easy distribution.

PMFs are viewable through ArcReader, a free downloadable product from ESRI, which along with ArcGIS Publisher, allows map creators to easily publish and share their work locally and via the Internet.

ArcGIS Spatial Analyst

ArcGIS Spatial Analyst provides a broad range of powerful spatial modeling and analysis features. The user can create, query, map, and analyze cell-based raster data; perform integrated raster/vector analysis; derive new information from existing data; query information across multiple data layers; and fully integrate cell-based raster data with traditional vector data sources.

ArcGIS Survey Analyst

ArcGIS Survey Analyst is an ArcGIS extension that enables users to manage survey data in a geodatabase and display survey measurements and observations on a map. ArcGIS Survey Analyst bridges the gap between mapping databases and modern surveying systems by enabling surveyors and GIS technicians to work together in an integrated system.

ArcGIS Tracking Analyst

ArcGIS Tracking Analyst provides temporal data visualization and analysis capabilities to the ArcGIS suite, enabling users to visualize and analyze temporal data by defining events including time and location. ArcGIS Tracking Analyst can be combined with other ArcGIS extensions to create powerful applications for transportation, emergency response, military, and other industries.

Business Analyst

ArcGIS Business Analyst

ArcGIS Business Analyst combines ESRI's leading geographical information system technology with extensive business, demographic, consumer household, and nationwide street data to provide sophisticated business analysis in one easy-to-use application. ArcGIS Business Analyst provides quality data from highly regarded sources including ESRI, infoUSA, Inc., GlobeXplorer, Directory of Major Malls, Inc. and Tele Atlas. The ability to analyze the geographical component of business data reveals trends, patterns, and opportunities hidden in tabular data. By combining information, such as sales data, demographics, and competitor locations, with geographic data, such as territories or store locations, ArcGIS Business Analyst helps you better understand your market, your customers, and your competition.
