Map Design

Our staff combines elements of cartography and design effectively to give your maps a unique look. We can combine line art, rendered art, and digital special effects to convey accurate geographic information to your expectations.

We have extensive abilities to design your program from scratch, mesh ideas from examples you provide, or match your established design specifications. With the advent of continually advancing computer software and faster computers, new and innovative designs are becoming the rule. In the past, most of these techniques were time consuming and cost-prohibitive, so fewer special effects were used. Now, because of our expertise, innovative concepts are routinely applied.

On a typical project, we produce a prototype that allows us to work out any design issues at the beginning of a project. With your input, the types of things that you would like to see in your map program are incorporated. We submit the design proofs to you and tweak things until the design is finalized. At that point, we simply plug the other maps in the program into the established design. Our goal is to make all of the maps in the project look like one person created them. We strive for consistency in style for a particular map series.
