Four-Color Cartography

The use of the four-color process gives us the greatest range of design options to create the map you envision.

We construct our maps with exactly the same file structure whether they are created in four-color, two-color, or one-color. That allows us to repurpose the maps much more easily and saves our clients money when maps are picked-up and converted for other projects.

Two-Color Cartography

Some publishers consider two-color printing a dying medium, while other publishers use it quite regularly. The staff at Mapping Specialists is well versed in the use of two-color production for map creation.

One-Color Cartography

Many maps can be effectively portrayed using only shades and patterns of black. These can either be created as new maps or converted from other color versions from your program.

Illustrations & Artwork

Mapping Specialists can provide a variety of illustrations and technical artwork. Some are constructed using hand-drawn methods and then scanned, while others are created digitally.

Illustrative maps and artwork are bid as a separate line item in our map estimates.

Charts, Graphs, Etc.

Even though our company's name is Mapping Specialists, we also do other things. Charts, graphs, diagrams, tables and tech art are some of the other types of graphics that we are well equipped to produce for our clients.

We can research and gather the data for these graphics or create them from supplied copy. Either way, we take the same care in accuracy and design with other graphics as we do with our maps.
